離心風(fēng)機(jī)是根據(jù)動能轉(zhuǎn)換為勢能的原理，利用高速旋轉(zhuǎn)的葉輪將氣體加速，然后減速、改變流向，使動能轉(zhuǎn)換成勢能（壓力）。在單級離心風(fēng)機(jī)中，氣體從軸向進(jìn)入葉輪，氣體流經(jīng)葉輪時(shí)改變成徑向，然后進(jìn)入擴(kuò)壓器。

Centrifugal fan is based on the principle of converting kinetic energy into potential energy, and accelerates the gas with high speed rotating impeller, then decelerates and changes the direction of flow, so that kinetic energy can be converted into potential energy (pressure). In a single stage centrifugal fan, the gas enters the impeller from the axial direction, and the gas flows through the impeller into the radial direction and then enters the diffuser.

In the diffuser, the gas changes the flow direction to decelerate, which converts the kinetic energy into the pressure energy. In a multistage centrifugal fan, a reflux is used to make the air flow into the next impeller and produce higher pressure.

對離心風(fēng)機(jī)設(shè)計(jì)的要求大都是：滿足所需流量和壓力的工況點(diǎn)應(yīng)在率點(diǎn)附近；率值要盡量大一些，效率曲線平坦；壓力曲線的穩(wěn)定工作區(qū)間要寬；風(fēng)機(jī)結(jié)構(gòu)簡單，工藝性好；材料及附件選擇方便；有足夠的強(qiáng)度、剛度，工作可靠；運(yùn)轉(zhuǎn)穩(wěn)定，噪聲低；調(diào)節(jié)性能好，工作適應(yīng)性強(qiáng)；風(fēng)機(jī)尺寸盡可能小，重量輕；操作和維護(hù)方便，拆裝運(yùn)輸簡單易行。

然而，同時(shí)滿足上述全部要求，一般是不可能的。在氣動性能與結(jié)構(gòu)(強(qiáng)度、工藝)之間往往也有矛盾，通常要抓住主要矛盾協(xié)調(diào)解決。這就需要設(shè)計(jì)者選擇合理的設(shè)計(jì)方案，以解決主要矛盾。

However, it is generally impossible to meet all the above requirements at the same time. There is often a contradiction between the aerodynamic performance and the structure (strength and process), and the main contradiction is usually solved.
